My work is
inspired by natural form found both in nature and the macro world
which is often polluted by the artificial objects randomly found
within the environment. By producing photographic images through the
medium of printmaking I can draw attention to the frequently
overlooked and unseen facets of the visual world.
printmaking has developed through an interest in analogue
photography using vintage cameras and other photographic techniques
to help me explore alternative processes, for example lithography
and photo etching, to illustrate the mechanical image.
of the black and white image is one of my key subjects, colour,
structure and patterns in nature also draw my attention. When
focussing on the use of the black and white image I can illustrate
the contrasts and forms held within the captured subject.

produced using a range of traditional photographic techniques and
print making processes. Using a variety of printmaking techniques
allows me to add texture and create a sense of age and passage of
time, representing the ephemeral nature of life.
